CHRISTCHURCH BAPTIST CHURCH

Becoming a Christian is straight forward. Christians believe the Bible is God’s word to all people. The Bible says that if you confess, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans chapter 10 and verse 9, from the Bible) - that’s it! ‘Being saved’ means you begin a whole new life with God as your leader, rather than yourself. It also means we are spared the inevitable consequences of the wrong things we do (sin), that is eternal death and separation from God (what the Bible calls Hell).

Consider the illustration below and pray the prayer.
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. (Romans 3:23, New Living Translation)
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23, NLT)
Just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes [God’s] judgement (Hebrews 9:27, NLT)
Christ suffered for sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.
(1 Peter 3:18)
I tell you the truth, those who listen to my [Jesus’] message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life. (John 5:24)
If you have come to believe this - pray this following prayer now and God will accept you as his child and you can begin a new life with Him.
Prayer
Lord Jesus I’m sorry for all the things I have done wrong.
Please forgive me. I believe you died for my sin and that God raised you from the dead.
Please come into my life. I trust you as saviour and want to follow you with my whole heart.
